I’m headed ‘Weshtwards’ this year for Listowel Writers’ Week! I’d have gone before now only it conflicted with our local Civil Defence training camp in Lahinch. This year I’m taking a break from rescue training and hoping to pick up some tips in writing from Sheila O’Flanagan at her workshop.
The week runs from the 2nd to the 6th of June and there are writing workshops and literary events planned to suit everyone’s taste. You can see the full programme at www.writersweek.ie, and further information on the Listowel Writers’ Week Fringe blog which I’ve been asked, by Paul O’Mahoney (Omaniblog), if I’d like to contribute towards. I hope to write a few bits and pieces and record some podcasts for this in the coming weeks.
Other than that, with the weather being as good as it has been the last few days, I haven’t been in the mood for sitting at a laptop. Today is going to be another scorcher and I’m going to read, take photos, and try to sort out the poor neglected garden. I have a feeling that this morning could also involve some emergency clothes shopping for Bee who’s taken an amazing growth spurt since last summer.
Have a good one!
